Between July of 1888-April of 1889, Van Gogh painted six portraits of his friend (and French postman) Joseph Roulin. He went on to paint portraits of the entire Roulin family.
Made with playing cards & green grossular garnet.
Note: Cross stitch is slightly smaller than scale - earrings look close to what they’ll appear on your ears, but slightly larger.
